Position # 1 – 24-hour Live-in Caregivers
Live-in caregivers are required to provide home support duties
Must have:
– Criminal record check within 2 years.
– Home Support/Home Care Assistant, Registered care aide certificate, and/or minimum 2 years experience in caring for seniors.
– 2 references
– Have a vehicle with a driver’s license is an asset.
Benefits:
– 3 hours break covered by another caregiver
– Shift start time from 0900 in am to 0900 next day
– Work 4 – 5 days, with 2 – 3 days off
– Meals included
– Separate bed to sleep
Position # 2 – Home Support Worker
In this role you will:
– Observe clients and their environments, and reports behavioral, physical, and/or cognitive changes as well as unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
– Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, laundry, bed linen changes, and emptying garbage.
– Plan, prepare, and serve meals; provides assistance with clean-up after meals.
– Assist with ordering and receiving groceries.
– Personal and hygiene care as determined in the care plan
– Provide short-term respite in the home, by performing duties such as sitting, socializing, and engaging with clients in therapeutic activities
Must have:
– Criminal record check within 2 years.
– Home Support/Home Care Assistant, Registered care aide certificate, and/or minimum 2 years experience in caring for seniors.
– 2 references
– Have a vehicle with a driver’s license is an asset.
Position # 3 – Licensed Practical Nurse
The job description may include, but is not limited to the following:
– Visiting patients in the community
– Nature of work is medication focused and personal care
– Duties would be within the LPN Scope of Practice
– Administration of medications where needed
– Performing patient-specific assessments (i.e. Blood glucose monitoring, Blood Pressure monitoring, Dressing change, catheter care, drain care, palliative, end of life care)
– Documentation of assessment and intervention of behavioral changes in patients
Qualifications:
– Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
– Up to date Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate and First Aid
Requirements:
– Driver’s License
– Currently in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
– Criminal Record Check
Position # 4 – Registered Nurse
The job description may include, but is not limited to the following:
– Initial assessment of patient and creation of care plans. Updating care plans as needed.
– Collaborating with home support workers and other health professionals to provide patient-centered care.
– Visiting patients in the community
– Nature of work is medication focused and personal care
– Duties would be within the RN Scope of Practice
– Administration of medications where needed
– Performing patient-specific assessments (i.e. Blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, dressing change, catheter care, drain care, palliative, end of life care, tracheotomy and ventilator care, ostomy appliance care)
– Documentation of assessment and intervention of behavioral changes in patients
Qualifications:
– Active practicing licensure with the BCCNM
– Up to date Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate and First Aid
Requirements:
– Driver’s License
– Currently in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
– Criminal Record Check
Position # 5 – Home Makers
In this role you will:
